Kurdish design?

Does anyone know of some page online where I can buy Kurdish clothes and various other things with Kurdish design?

I have a plan to surprise my wonderful fiancèe with a box full of this. I have already ordered a 150x90 Kurdish flag we can have either in the bedroom or in the livingroom, as well as I have ordered a keychain with Kurdish flag, a watch with Kurdish flag and a cap with Che Guevara.. But I want MORE! Like fill up one whole box of it. It would be so fuuuun:)  And at least that is one gift I can be 100% sure will not be a mistake, he is a Super-Kurd, so I will hit bullseye there ;-)

And then he has something he can bring for Newroz as well... Cause you sure as hell cannot buy anything Kurdish in TURKEY! It's the main thing I hate about Turkey, their fantastic way of discriminating Kurds and make them out to be terrorists, at the same time as they are killing women, children, burning down villages, killing sivilians and just say "Oh sorry, we thought they were terrorists" after.. I would like to see Turkey's reaction if that situation was reversed.

Yea yea I am sure soooo many people wanna say something shitty to me about my oppinions and that I am supporting terrorism and bla bla, I've heard it all before, and it really doesn't matter to me. No matter what kind of comments I get, it will not make me change my mind.  And it is not because I am together with a Kurd, he is not my first Turkey relationship, I was together with a Turk for 4 years, so I have heard and seen both sides of this, which has made me fully capable of making up my mind about this situation- all by myself.

I also have this oppinion based on what I have seen and heard with my OWN eyes and ears. For example when we came home from Newroz this year, and we came home to a broken in apartment, called the police, and it ended up with HALIL taking in to questioning cause they meant that since he is Kurdish, HE did this. Never mind that he was with me, 2 hours away the whole day. And that wonderful Marmaris police actually managed to say "Kurdish people doesn't deserve to live, they shouldnt walk on the street, they are not people".. And they hit Halil as well, and for nothing.
The one policeman said to me; "Well.. I am humanist, but Kurdish people should not live, really".. I looked at him and said "You are not a humanist, if you were, you would not be able to say something like that".. They also said if I didnt take of my earrings, I was supporting terrorism. I said it is just colors, how can colors hurt anyone?  And I kept them ON! Safe to say that the Marmaris police is not a big fan of me..  These earrings;

And it was ridiculous when we were at Newroz as well. It was several busses full of police with machine guns, about 1000 army, tanks with tear gas- in IZMIR!  What did we do there? We were singing, dancing, eating, simply just having fun and celebrating. Woooow, how terrible is that?

Another example is Ahmey Kaya. Everyone loves his music, right? And he won several awards for his songs.. But one of those times he won, he said with a smile that he wanted to make a Kurdish song.. That resulted in Serdar Ortac throwing a fork and saying "This is our country", then started singing the Turkish anthem. And that was not the worst, Mahsun Kirmizigül did the same, standing and singing the Turkish anthem, he is Kurdish, and NOW, several years later, he is starting to make Kurdish songs, Kurdish movies +++, hipocrit.. Anyway, Ahmet Kaya was told to leave in a rather unpleasant way, he left Turkey. His music was banned and he was then looked at as a terrorist.. Because he wanted to sing a Kurdish song, he WAS Kurdish no less... First after his death, Turkey admitted that they were wrong, starting to play his music again, I even saw a clip from Erdogan sheding some tears when he watched the documentary of Ahmet Kaya. You will also then see this situation I am writing about here, the real one, not one someone made after..

Everyone who understands even the slightest bit Turkish should WATCH that documentary, and I also recomment to watch Beritan, it is in Kurdish but anyone can understand what it is about anyway. It is a great movie, and I cried like a baby from both of the above.

I don't like Mahsun Kirmizigül at all.. The one thing I hate more than Turkish people who support this treatment of Kurds (I say this because not all Turks are like that, you can never judge one whole nationality) is Kurdish people, supporting actions like that. Even though he is making Kurdish movies and stuff now (although in Turkish), it doesnt change his action then.. Just like Serdar Ortac's apologiez doesn't change his actions either.
It doesn't help to apologize and say you made a mistake, its not a mistake, its a terrible fascistic action. And I am pretty sure this Mister will not go to any Kurdish place for concert, cause this time people bought his tickets, so they could throw forks and stuff at HIM!  What goes around comes around pislik.

Well, this was not really supposed to be a overly serious post, but, it turned out to be.

  2. I might not be Kurdish, but I am a person, so are Kurds. This offends me as a PERSON, because no humanbeing deserves that kind of treatment, torture, and discrimination. I love Kurds, I love ALL good people. And human rights is SO important for me. Kurdish people is not given the same rights as others, And THAT is why I care!

  4. Oh, so you are a Turk I see.. "Müslüman" and "Kürtish" gave you away... Well, first of all, I am very intelligent, so no one is able to brainwash me. Second of all, how I am thinking has simply something to do with the fact that I am able to see, hear and think for MY SELF. Something you probably are not capable to do.

Your theory about me wanting to be Kurdish is wrong. I do not want to be Kurdish, I am very happy with my nationality, and I believe that any person with a little self respect would not want to be anything other than what they are. BUT I do love Kurds, kurdish language, and I am supporting an independent Kurdistan, Kurdish rights are also important for me.

And the part about wanting to be Muslim.. I am a Christian, I have been Christian since I was born and I will still be Christian when I die. Halil is not religious either, he is not Muslim, and has never tried to make me become one either..

Ne istiyorsun benden pic türkü? Hadi isine bak ya, niye yaziyorsun bana? Senin icin cok üzüldüm, cünkü beyinsizsin...

  6. Thanks for your comment:)It makes me happy to get some of these kind as well:)))

I found an internet page with various things with Kurdish designs, they had everything from big flags to clothes, keychains and stuff like that. I don't remember the address right now but I can find it if you want?

When I met Halil I had been travelling to Alanya many times every year with friends, but the only reason we continued living in a tourist city is because it is easier for my family and friends to come visit us then. If not, we would have lived another place. But in the future we won't be going to Turkey at all, after we get married :-)

  7. I honestly love how openminded you are and how much you support us, I can't thank you enough, and I wish more norwegians would think like you, but to be honest, many norwegians are brainwashed when it comes to the turkey-kurdistan situation because of how ''good'' turkey looks when they are on vacation there.

I personally think you and Halil should visit Erbil, the capital og Kurdistan sometime.

I think you would have a great time there, it is reputated that our government is going to make it look like ''the new Dubai''

Erbil is very beautiful and peaceful.

  8. Well, I have seen the situation from both sides, and based on what I have seen and heard with my own eyes and ears, it was not very hard for me to make up my mind. I have many really good friends who are Turkish as well, but the difference is that they are not the kind of people who support that kind of treatment of Kurds- or any other population for that matter, and I am specially fascinated and have a great respect for those Turks who have joined Guerrilla too!:)

It's really funny, people who glorify Turkey and everything Turkey stands for are normal and know how to think, but people like me, who supports the other way, is brainwashed by their boyfriends. Where's the logic in that??

Well, we are moving to Turkey for a short while after our wedding in March, just until we get residence visa for Halil, so I will ask him to take a trip there.. I googled it and it was looking great:-) Are u living in Kurdistan or..?

  9. I actually live in Norway, I have no idea why I decided to write to you in English hehe :) Jeg leser og skriver så mye om Kurdistan på engelsk så jeg er vandt til det

For meg ser det ut som at mesteparten av tyrkere hater kurdere, fordi hvis de synes at det tyrkia gjør er feil, hadde de kanskje prøvd å....si det? gjort noe? stand up against their government? I can understand that they might be scared, but still.

May I ask what your family's opinion is, on that you're marrying a Kurd?

Min familie elsker Halil!
